When avionics send you on a wild goose chase

So there I was, deep in a troubleshooting session on a helicopter’s electronic flight control system. I thought I had finally tracked down a glitch, only for it to be a loose connector hiding between two crowded wire bundles. It’s like the avionics enjoy playing hide and seek right when you’re running behind on the next maintenance cycle.

You’d think the connectors have a personality at times! I once spent hours sifting through a harness only to realize I was one wiggle away from a fix — now I always check the easy stuff first. @HeliTech made a great point about keeping a routine maintenance checklist; sometimes it’s the little things that save you time.
